A couple of times every year, we get a manufacturer that takes an old version of Android and shoehorns it into a device compiled of the fanciest materials, made for people with the highest of tastes and the deepest of pockets. Continuing on the tradition is Vertu, who has released the new $10,000 Ti line of Android devices. Vertu was the luxury division of Nokia until recently, when it was sold off and now has defected to Android.
The Ti runs Android 4.0 and comes packing a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Certainly not this year’s specs, but Vertu hopes that the hand-made phone, made out of grade 5 Titanium and having a sapphire crystal screen, will convince you to open your wallets nonetheless.
