Google Duplex, the Google Assistant-powered AI service that started out as a call bot that could book you restaurant reservations, has arrived on the web through your phone. To start, it’ll be able to buy you movie tickets before expanding into other purchase areas.

If this sounds familiar, it should – Google first told us about this ability back at Google I/O in May. At the time, Google said that we would soon ask Google Assistant (powered by Duplex) to buy movie tickets (or rent cars), where we would then watch as it ran through a number of screens, including seat selections, to complete a purchase.

To try this out, you need to ask Assistant something like, “Hey Google, showtimes for Frozen II in Portland this weekend.” You could also perform a regular search from the Google app. Once the results show and you select a theater and time slot, a “Buy tickets” button will appear that’ll help speed up the purchase process with the Assistant. It’ll even try to autofill info like payment information you have saved in Chrome.

Out of the gate, there are more than 70 cinemas and ticketing services to choose from, including AMC, Fandango, MJR Theaters, and Movietickets.com in the US. The service is live right now for you to try.
