Now that Disney+ is available, I’d imagine that a number of you want it, but aren’t ready to fork out $6.99 per month on top of your cable, Netflix, and other streaming service bill. Here’s your reminder, friendly Verizon customer, that you are likely eligible for free Disney+ for the next year.
Verizon announced free Disney+ a few weeks back and has already pushed it live to customers. You can sign-up at the Verizon site or through the My Verizon app.
To get started, there are a couple of requirements. First, you need to be on an eligible unlimited plan, which includes The Verizon Unlimited plan, Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Above Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Play More Unlimited, and Start Unlimited. If you have any other unlimited account, you probably aren’t eligible. Business accounts, for those about to ask, are not eligible.
What else do you need to know about eligibility? This is for Disney+ only, not the bundle that includes ESPN+ and Hulu. Also, if you pre-purchased a subscription, this is how Verizon describes combining with this promo offer:
Your pre-purchase will be paused and resume after the Verizon promo period. If you pre-purchased a monthly subscription through Disney, or a monthly or annual subscription through a third party, the Verizon promotional offer will begin when you enroll through Verizon, but will not automatically replace your pre-purchased subscription. After you enroll and complete the account setup, you will be sent an email with information about how to manage your pre-purchased subscription.
That’s confusing, but basically says you can combine offers with this one and that you should see an email explaining what to do after you try and sign-up with Verizon. I wish I could help more there, except I’m as confused by it as you probably are.
