You’ve been waiting (and complaining a lot), T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8 owners, and your time has come. The Android 9 “Pie” and One UI update is here, officially making you last to the party following updates to Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon models over the past couple of weeks.
The update will arrive as build N950USQU5DSC1 and will weigh in at 1.7GB. You’ll need at least 50% battery to update, but I’d make sure you find WiFi too. T-Mobile lists April 5 as the start date for arrival.
What’s new in Android Pie and One UI on Samsung phones? I’ve written this up 1,701 times now, but you should expect a whole new UI skin from Samsung, new navigation options and app switcher, adaptive battery and brightness, and more. Just watch this video.
In addition to the Note 8 getting its big update, T-Mobile’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are grabbing the March security patch as builds G930TUVS9CSC1 and G935TUVS9CSC1, respectively.
To check for updates, head into Settings>System update.
