Nokia 9 PureView Has 5 Backside ZEISS Optics Cameras, Priced at $699

Nokia announced the 9 PureView at MWC this week, a smartphone featuring a backside array consisting of 5 ZEISS Optics cameras. Yes, count ’em, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 rear cameras.

For the cameras, there are five 12-megapixel shooters (2 RGB + 3 Mono). Each shot you take on the phone apparently uses all of the sensors simultaneously, bringing in up to 10x more light than a single smartphone camera sensor. The result of this is superb dynamic range in photos that capture more detail and texture from both the highlights and shadows, plus incredible depth-of-field and vibrant color.

Other specs include a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, 5.99” QHD+ pOLED display, 128GB storage, 3320mAh battery, IP67, and Android 9.0 Pie.

Nokia states the 9 PureView is already shipping and should be available for purchase soon, priced at $699 in the US.
