Samsung has a tendency to release new color options for its devices a few months after initial launch in order to generate more publicity and get a few more people buying. It’s been done for Galaxy S9 already, as well as last year’s Galaxy S8. Thanks to a newly spotted render, it looks like Galaxy Note 9 will be getting this new color hype treatment as well, with a Silver model scheduled to make a debut exclusively in the US.
Besides being a new color, most likely nothing else will be different from what’s already available. You’ll still have the large AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845 processor, as well as the Bluetooth-powered S Pen. The only thing we don’t know is if this color will be exclusive to either the large or small amount of storage/RAM option, or available in both.
We don’t yet know timing for release, but it seems like a safe bet that it could arrive around the holiday shopping season or some time before. Whenever you see Galaxy Note 9 marketing start to die down and those Sia TV commercials go away is probably when you can expect Samsung to make their move. Regardless, we’ll let you know when it’s available.
What do you think of the new Silver color?
