Essential announced it has released an Android P Beta 3 build for Essential Phone owners, the same exact Android P DP5 (aka Beta 4) build Google released today for Pixel devices. To clear up any confusion, this is the third public beta for Essential, but fourth public beta for Google, hence why they’re referred to as different betas. It’s the same build number and everything, though.
Inside, Essential says it has the latest code integrations for Android P from Google, as well as minor bug fixes and enhancements.
With the way Essential is rolling out these updates and showing support for Android P, we can’t help but become more depressed that they aren’t releasing a new phone.
We just released a new Android P Beta build that includes the latest Google Android P code integration along with minor bug fixes and enhancements. Learn more about our beta program here: https://t.co/LWeH1iWrKq pic.twitter.com/ZLxJpu1NpZ
