Verizon kicked off a new promotion today that should probably be considered by just about everyone. The deal is for Verizon Prepaid and it’ll get you double the data of current plans without a price change.
What does that translate to? The $60 plan jumps from 10GB to 20GB (!), $50 plan from 7GB to 14GB, $40 plan from 3GB to 6GB, and the $30 plan doubles from 500MB to 1GB. Verizon still has an unlimited prepaid plan, but how tempting is that 10GB plan?
As a reminder, Verizon Prepaid not only includes unlimited talk and text, but carryover data and mobile hotspot too.
In order to get the deal, you’ll need to sign-up for a new plan or add a new line. Current Verizon prepaid customers do not get the deal, unless you cancel and re-sign up, I’d imagine.
Verizon notes that if you sign-up for this prepaid double data deal, you get to keep the double data “as long as your new line(s) stay active on an eligible prepaid plan.” Also, you apparently won’t see the double data bucket show up in your shopping cart as you checkout, but it’ll be there in My Verizon after you activate.
Verizon Prepaid double data is only available for a limited time.
