Samsung Pay Adds Cash Back Feature, Get Money Back on Select Purchases

Samsung Pay announced a new feature for its users today, Cash Back.

No, this Cash Back isn’t like what you have with your debit card. Instead, when you make a purchase using Samsung Pay at a participating merchant, you’ll receive a percentage of money back into your account instantly, ready for use on another purchase anywhere you’d like.

Samsung breaks it down simply.

In the new Cash Back section of the Samsung Pay app’s home screen, users will find a range of exclusive offers from leading retailers. When they click on the offer they want and complete a purchase through the participating merchant, the user will receive a percentage back on their purchase which they can then spend toward a purchase—anywhere they use Samsung Pay.

With Cash Back, you’re essentially spending money to make a percentage of money, which isn’t exactly the best way of creating wealth, although, getting free money for something you were already going to purchase is a fine deal.
