Is the Galaxy S9 a big enough upgrade over last year’s phones from Samsung, like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8? That’s going to be the question we’ll try and answer over the coming weeks as we prepare for launch. On paper, these new S9 and S9+ phones sure look like minor upgrades. Samsung may have fixed a lot of stuff and upgraded most of the parts, but this isn’t the dramatic change we might see in 2019.
So how do they differ? The specs comparison of the S9 to the S8 and Note 8 can be found below for the dirty details. It shows that we have upgrades in the processor, RAM in the S9+, cameras, and, well, that’s sort of it. They did move the fingerprint reader to the proper spot this time, so that’s good.
