I’m always quite amazed at how much Android Wear devices can cost, with the Huawei Watch 2 being no exception. Considering Huawei ditched the premium materials for the standard Watch 2 (they did keep metal, leather, and all that jazz for the Classic), the company still launched the wearable with a price of $299 in the US.
Thanks to a deal over on eBay, you can grab a brand new unit for the price of $265, which is a savings of about $35.
If you missed our review, the main takeaway was my disappointment in Huawei’s ditching of that premium niche they owned. Yes, they have the Classic, but why not have the standard Watch 2 be the premium one, then have a Watch 2 Sport or something like that? Speaking purely about the watch, it’s a great fitness piece. You have the specs you’d want, plus Android Wear 2.0 which is a huge advantage over the last iteration.
