Announced today, LG is partnering with B&O PLAY (Bang & Olufsen) to create a “premium sound experience” for the upcoming LG V20 smartphone. Apparently, this sound experience will be so premium that it’s described as something we have “have never heard before.” If that doesn’t remotely excite you, nothing will.
In order to achieve this audio experience, acoustic engineers collaborated to achieve B&O PLAY’s philosophy of delivering a “natural and balanced sound in a portable package.” To complete the experience, the V20 will be sold with a special pair of B&O PLAY earphones, plus a set of wallpapers that feature the B&O logo. What do wallpapers have to do with a sound experience? I’m gonna go ahead and say nothing, but that’s part of the agreement between LG and B&O.
“A growing number of consumers expect a better audio experience from their smartphones than what has been available in the past and I’m confident that the V20 delivers on these expectations,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile.
Don’t forget, LG already announced that the V20 will feature 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC from ESS Technology, perfect for all of you audiophiles.
September 6 is right around the corner.
