Soak Test for Moto X (2nd Gen) on Verizon Starting, Probably Android 5.1

A soak test to preview “a new software release” for the Moto X (2nd gen) from Verizon is starting this weekend (maybe even this minute), according to a number of our readers. The update should be Android 5.1, which is good news for those who have had a rough go of it since receiving the update to 5.0 back in late 2014. 

Assuming the update does well during the test, the rest of the Verizon Moto X (2nd gen) community should be receiving it in no time. Typically, if a test is successful, the update rolls out publicly within a week or so.
