Last week, we told you about a phone called the Saygus V2. You probably skipped the post because you had never heard of the company and because you aren’t considering most phones right now with the new goodness from Samsung and HTC only a month away. And you know what? That’s OK. But we still wanted to point out that the phone with everything is now up for pre-order in case you do want to look outside of the norm.
As a recap, the Saygus V2 (V-squared) is a phone that packs in just about every single spec you could ever think of. It has the basics, like a 1080p display, 3GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage, Snapdragon 801 processor, LTE, and 3,100mAh removable battery. But then it also has optical image stabilization in both front and back cameras, IR blaster, Harman Kardon front speakers, Qi charging, waterproofing, special mobile security, noise canceling tech, something that has to do with wireless gaming and beaming that means nothing to me, Gorilla Glass 4, fingerprint sensor, front and back light sensors, dual microSD slots, “fractal antenna technology,” and more. Seriously, the list of specs is kind of insane and ridiculous and unnecessary and still kind of awesome.
Last week, Saygus opened a pre-registration for orders of the V2 to gauge interest, but promised that pre-registrations would include a discount of $50 on pre-orders of the phone. Today, they sent out pre-order codes to those of us who pre-registered. The code doesn’t appear to be unique, so anyone can use it from what I can tell and we have included it below.
The phone is supposed to ship within 6-8 weeks. That’s actually semi-soon. Any bets on that happening?
