Considering HTC’s BlinkFeed, Gallery, Sense TV, Service Pack, Weather, Camera, and Lock Screen already inhabit a tiny corner of the Google Play, it may come as a surprise that the Browser app is only now joining the party. But better late than never, right?
The reasoning behind this latest decoupling from Sense is rather simple – the Play Store is an infinitely faster delivery mechanism than over-the-air updates. Patches and enhancements are not beholden to carriers, but rather can be dispatched instantaneously, a great proposition for both HTC and device owners.
According to the Play Store changelog, the newest Browser includes text wrapping when zooming, a redesigned interface, and an offline reading mode. It is compatible with smartphones and tablets running Sense and Android Kit Kat or higher.
