In the wake of declining subscriber numbers, Sprint is doing its darndest to attract customers with cheap plans and new policies. But it is also taking a two-pronged approach to improve its network, rolling out LTE and its tri-band Spark technology simultaneously to boost download speeds. The newest blanket of coverage, which the wireless carrier announced today, is 17 cities in size.

The new additions brings the total number of Spark markets to 46, which Sprint hopes to extend to 100 million people by the end of this year.
Spark users can expect download speeds between 50 – 60Mbps, Sprint said. As long as you own a newer device, compatibility should not be an issue – Sprint variants of the Galaxy S5, LG G3, and HTC One (M8) all contain the radios necessary to tap into Spark.
