Murmurings of a keyboard case for the upcoming HTC-made Nexus 9 may have finally come to bear, as photos of what seem to be the accessory, emerged online following certification by the NCC (the Taiwanese equivalent of the FCC).
The keyboard itself is unremarkable – it’s presumably Bluetooth and charges via USB – but its dimensions, somewhere around 30 x 85 mm, lend credence to rumblings of a 4:3 aspect ratio we heard back in June.
For those who need a refresher, the Nexus 9 is reportedly a beast of a tablet, sporting a “zero-gap aluminum” exterior and packing a Tegra K1 processor, 8.9-inch (2048×1440) display, stereo speakers, and a main camera with OIS.
Some publications have the Nexus 9 pegged for an October release, but that doesn’t jibe with NVIDIA’s internal projections. Considering the tablet is expected to launch with Android L, software may be the holdup , which could mean an indeterminable wait.
