If you have been thinking that the Moto X is the perfect phone for you, but are just afraid to take the plunge, Motorola is offering you a chance to test the phone for yourself for two weeks, then you can choose to either send it back or pay for it.
It’s all part of a new “Try Then Buy” campaign, which will allow users to create their very own Moto X through MotoMaker, then they can use the device to see if its everything they ever dreamed of. If you are not satisfied after two weeks, just send the phone back, hassle free.
While the device is in your possession, Motorola will hold a $0.01 charge on your credit card, which anyone should be able to handle. Pretty sweet deal, right? It doesn’t end there, though. For $100 more than the 16GB version, you can select a 64GB version, bringing the off-contract price to $449.99.
Here’s how “Try Then Buy” works:
- Consumers go to motorola.com starting Sunday, June 8, at 11:00 p.m. to sign up and receive a special code.
- Then it’s over to Moto Maker, our online studio, to design a custom, no-contract device. A penny charge will be placed on their credit card while the try out the device for the next two weeks.
- After 14 days, if the consumer likes their phone, their credit card will be charged. If not, Motorola will pay to ship the Moto X back. Those who keep the phone get a promo code for 30% off accessories as a welcome to the Moto X family.
On Sunday, June 9 at 12am EST (9pm Pacific), you will want to be at www.motorola.com for your opportunity to be a part of this event. Supplies will be limited.
