An update for Google Wallet was announced by Google today, which brings a new feature called Orders. With Orders, users of Google Wallet who make online purchases will have an easier time tracking their purchases. Not only the purchasing aspect, but the actual shipping and delivering of your purchase as well.
The “how it works” is very straightforward, and the service basically works with almost any receipt that is sent to your Gmail account. Orders placed from many online retailers, as well as Google Play, can be tracked through most of the major US package carriers (FedEx, UPS).
Once you activate Orders in Google Wallet, you’ll be able to see any receipts sent to your Gmail right in the Google Wallet app. We’ve also worked with primary package carriers in the US so that when your order status is updated, you’ll get notified of the update through Wallet. So whether your order is shipped, out for delivery, or delayed, you’ll never wonder about the status of your order.
Even if you have not been managing your online shopping shipments via Google Now, Google Wallet is now another line of offense for you to do so.
Go grab the update.
