At this point, the upcoming all new HTC One has sprung more leaks than the Titanic. Multiple videos, pictures and looks at the device have come to our attention, and today we add another to that list. A list of “complete specs” and what appears to be a sales guide for the new One’s features are out for us to comb through.
Even though we have seen a lot of the new One – what it looks like and what features HTC has put in – we haven’t gotten any real hints towards the actual specs of the device. GSMArena has a list of specs from sources that are said to be going into this new phone. The 5-inch 1080p screen will make the device measure in at 146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35 and weigh 160 grams. The 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 is nothing to scoff at either. Finally, the battery is listed at 2,600mAh, and yes, there is a microSD card slot built in for those who just can’t ditch the removable storage.
A new sales guide has also leaked, telling stores how to really explain to customers how to use the new features of the One. Boomsound, HTC Zoe, BlinkFeed and of course the “HTC Duo” cameras are all listed. As for the dual cameras, this guide gives us a better view of what they might be used for. It says the HTC Duo cameras can be used to adjust the focus of a photo after it has been taken, which sounds similar to the Lytro camera and the new Galaxy S5. It’s also interesting to note that the front-facing camera is 5 megapixel, while HTC is making such a push for their Ultrapixel technology. Any chance HTC goes 4MP (“UltraPixel”) on the back, but 5MP on the front? Talk about odd.
The section under “Easy Control” talks about how this new One will react to your touch even when it’s asleep, something the Moto X has mastered. You can “swipe the screen” of the One to access apps or BlinkFeed, but also double-tap to wake your phone. These are definitely the buzzwords that we will be hearing leading up to and during the official announcement of the new HTC One, but none of this has been officially confirmed by HTC so take it with a grain of salt.
Interested in the all new HTC One after all these leaks? Or is it getting to be too much?
