We wouldn’t normally point out a year-and-a-half old tablet as a potentially good buy, but when it shows up on Woot! in “new” condition for $149, it may actually be worth a look. Such is the case with the Nexus 7 (2012), that is today’s daily deal on the bargain bin site. The tablet launched in the summer of 2012, seemed to take the Android tablet game by storm with its insanely low price and decent set of specs, and was the first in a line of tablets that most Android enthusiasts consider a “must have” each year.
For those who forgot already, the original Nexus 7 sported a Tegra 3 (quad-core) processor, 1GB RAM, 7-inch (1280 x 800) display, 4325mAh battery, and a front-facing camera. The model in today’s deal includes 32GB of storage as well. It’s also running Android 4.4.2, meaning it has yet to lose support from Google.
Here is our review of the 2012 Nexus 7.
