This morning, Google Music received an update to build 5.3.1316 which brings with it the option to store cached music to your external SD card and share music with the world. Other than that, they made a slight UI tweak to the slideout menu (you’ll see bold letters instead of grey backgrounds). Not a big update, but good stuff none-the-less.
To access the store-to-SD option, you’ll have to have a phone with a microSD slot (obviously). Once you confirm that you do (please tell me you can confirm this by yourself), head into Music Settings and you should see the option at the bottom of the “Downloading” section. If you’d like to share songs, tap the action overflow menu while viewing or listening albums/tracks and you’ll see the option to “Share.”
We have a download link for you below for sideloading, since this is more than likely a staged rollout.
