Yesterday afternoon, HTC took to their Twitter account to tease the announcement of the One Mini. This morning, we finally have the device revealed for the masses. After what seems like months of leaks/speculation/rumors, the device is finally official with market launch set for a yet-to-be-determined date in August. The One Mini features a few of the things that makes the larger One such a desirable device for consumers, but in a smaller 4.3″ package.
Some of the things that the Mini will feature that are also found in its big brother are BoomSound (two front-facing speakers that deliver a punch), an UltraPixel camera along its backside, as well as software enhancements made possible by HTC’s Sense 5. Yes, don’t worry, Zoes are on the One Mini.
As for the hardware side of things, the One Mini comes with a crisp 4.3″ 720p LCD 3 display, a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of non-expandable storage and just a 1,800mAh battery. Another shocker is that HTC decided to remove NFC and the IR blaster from the Mini – not sure why NFC had to go, but apparently it has.
Select market availability is set for August, with a wider global launch being prepped for September. No word on pricing yet, but does this interest you at all?
