Like Target, Best Buy will also host Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL promos for the Black Friday deals weekend. Again, this happens every year, but this is yet another chance for us to remind you that buying Google’s new phones on day one is almost always a bad idea if you care about saving money.
Best Buy says that the unlocked Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will both be $200 off without the need for activation. It’s just a straight $200 off discount. However, if you want an additional $50 off, you can activate with a carrier.
At $200 off, you are looking at a Pixel 4 starting price of $599.99 and a Pixel 4 XL starting price of $699.99. Not bad for a phone with radar you’ll never use and missing fingerprint reader advanced face unlock and one of the best still photography cameras around.
Wondering if Google will host a similar promo from the Google Store? I’d put a lot of money on that if it were a bet. Amazon will likely match it too.
On a related note, if you choose the carrier versions of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL from Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint, Best Buy will drop $400 off with activation. Also, the Pixel 3a will be $100 off (no activation required).
