If you happen to own a Samsung phone from the past three years, there’s a good chance it is receiving an update this week from Verizon. The entire Galaxy S10, Note 10, and S8 lines are all seeing new updates, with the S10 phones getting more than just a security patch.
The Galaxy S10, S10+, S10+ 5G, and S10e are all getting new camera modes as a part of this month’s update, as well as DeX updates. All of the S10 phones will now be able to access AR Doodle (it’s just doodling on or around items in the camera), night mode for selfies, live focus video (that beautiful bokeh in videos), “Super Steady Video Stabilization,” and a new Video Editor.
Additionally, each phone gets the option to access DeX on Mac and PC devices through downloaded DeX apps. This is a feature that first arrived on the Galaxy Note 10 line at launch. On a somewhat related note, S10 users can take advantage of Link to Windows, a feature that allows you to send/receive SMS, sync photos, and view content on Windows computers. Finally, Game Booster is here to improve your gaming experience.
All of the new software builds for each phone are:
