AT&T introduced three new unlimited data plans today called Unlimited Starter, Unlimited Extra, and Unlimited Elite. They’ll replace the confusingly-named “Unlimited &” line that has been available for over a year.
We don’t have the full details on these yet, because two launch on Sunday, November 3, while the third won’t be here for a few more weeks. We still know some basics, though, and those are:
AT&T Unlimited Starter
- $65 for a single line; $35 per line for 4 lines
- Unlimited talk, text, and data in the US, Mexico, and Canada
- Data at normal speeds, but subject to data prioritization at times of congestion
AT&T Unlimited Extra
- $75 for a single line; $45 per line for 4 lines
- Unlimited talk, text, and data in the US, Mexico, and Canada
- Fastest AT&T speeds up to 50GB of data per line
- 15GB mobile hotspot per line
AT&T Unlimited Elite
- $85 for a single line; $50 per line for 4 lines
- Unlimited talk, text, and data in the US, Mexico, and Canada
- Fastest AT&T speeds up to 100GB of data per line
- 30GB mobile hotspot per line
- Includes HBO (and HBO Max in May) for life of the plan
- Stream video in HD
Unlimited Start and Extra launch on November 3; AT&T Unlimited Elite launches in the “coming weeks.”
We’re trying to find out a couple of things still, like how fast hotspot speeds are, if those data limits are per account or per line, and what the speeds are like for the Starter plan. Should we hear back from AT&T, we’ll update this post.
- UPDATE: Added additional info on per line data and speeds for Starter plan. Also, hotspot speeds are full speeds.
