Even though we expected as much, Google confirmed via Twitter yesterday that the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a lineup of devices will receive the improved Night Sight mode found on the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.
There’s no telling exactly when this camera update will arrive, but we assume it will be soon. If you have little patience, the Camera 7.0 apk has been floating around since September, which includes the updated Night Sight. If you want to test it out before Google sends it out officially, have at it.
