Ummm…what is happening? The Pixel 4 XL just leaked in a two lengthy videos that show off a whole lot of Google’s unannounced phone. They are in high quality and quite detailed.
As far as how the phone looks, well, you guys know what this phone looks like after dozens of leaks. The new stuff we are learning is in the software that is highlighted, like Ambient EQ (dynamic display adjustments based on lighting), the confirmed 90Hz “Smooth Display,” screen attention setting, and a “Styles and Wallpapers” feature that we’re assuming is this.
Ambient EQ
Smooth Display (90Hz)
For hardware, we get a shot that shows 6GB RAM, up to 128GB storage, 6.23″ display (3040×1440), and the codename of “coral,” which is one of the codenames for the Pixel 4 line. So the Pixel 4 XL is indeed coral, while the smaller Pixel 4 is flame.
We’ll update this post as we watch it.
UPDATE: Here’s a longer video and this one has all three colors! WHAT. THE. HELL. MAN.
This second video is a whole lot of talkin’, but at the end, we do get some additional details. The camera setup is a Sony IMX481 (16MP) telephoto shooter along with a Sony IMX363 (12.2, f1.7) wide angle lens. The front camera is an 8MP Sony IMX520 sensor.
The first camera samples look like this:
