Google Go just dropped on the Google Play store for everyone to use after being an exclusive to select countries and Android (Go edition) devices for a couple of years. If you have been in need of a quicker, leaner Google Search experience, you might want to give Google Go a try.
The app is just 5-7MB in size, so it won’t take up much space. While so many of us own phones with 128GB storage or more, there are phones, like Google’s own, that aren’t heavy hitters in the storage department and could use a lighter app load.
As for functionality, the app is pretty slick. When you open it, you’ll find a home page with bottom search bar, access to voice searches, and Google Lens. The main home page features shortcuts to popular online destinations, the ability to customize other app shortcuts, and easy ways to find images or GIFs. It has the weather too, a built-in browser, trending topics when you start a search, and you can set a wallpaper! It’s sort of a do-it-all app.
It’s free, so go grab it.
