For what this phone is, $399 is pretty darn incredible. You’re getting a 5.7″ IGZO LCD display (1440 x 2560) capable of 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, improved dual rear-facing cameras (12MP standard lens, f/1.75, OIS + 12MP Telephoto, f/2.6), 4,000mAh battery, IP67, and dual front-facing stereo speakers. For $399, this is a spec-packed device made with media consumption and mobile gaming in mind.
If there was a con to this device, it would be the software support from Razer. Due to Razer’s history (or lack thereof) concerning updates, it’s hard to say how serious the company is about supporting this device. It does have Pie and our fingers are crossed that it will receive Android Q at some point, but nothing is for certain.
