TIDAL has an update for its Android app this week, bringing Masters recordings to all Android devices for HiFi subscribers. Previously, Masters streaming was limited to select LG devices and the Essential Phone, but now, any Android phone can access them.
If you’re unfamiliar with Masters, it’s a level of audio quality above HiFi, with a typical resolution of 96 kHz / 24 bit. This means that if you spent a ton of money on your headphones or in-home sound system, you’re about to hear all of those subtle symbol splashes and other nuances not typically heard in lower quality mixes.
If you subscribe to TIDAL HiFi, be on the lookout for this TIDAL app update.
