When Qualcomm announced its new Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform back in September, they told us to expect new watches from Fossil, Montblanc, and Louis Vuitton to be the first watches running it. We’ve already reviewed Fossil and Montblanc 3100 watches, but have not yet seen the Louis option arrive (it did hit the FCC). That should change soon, thanks to an upgraded Tambour Horizon smartwatch.
The folks at Engadget have some details about the new watch, saying that it will not only run the Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform, it’ll also have an upgraded display too. Owners should expect slightly improved battery life, just don’t expect a single charge to last more than a day. Additionally, the ceramic white option pictured here should be a purchase option once it becomes available, with new 24-hour bezel.
How much will this new Tambour Horizon cost and when can you buy it? We don’t know. 2019 is hours away from busting down our door, so you’ll have to wait until then, obviously. As for pricing, the original LV watch started at $2,500 – I wouldn’t expect this to be any cheaper.
