Over the weekend, Google Pixel-owning users on reddit showed that they were seeing access to transcripts for Call Screen, the Google Assistant-powered call screening service.
Accessible via Recent calls > Call Details > See transcript, this will allow you to look back at calls that were received by Assistant, then read them in plain text. We’re not seeing the feature on our Pixels quite yet, so it seems to be rolling out slowly. However, you can probably get it a bit sooner by enrolling into Google’s Phone app beta program (linked below, scroll to the bottom).
If you’ll recall, a transcript option that we can look at after the call is one of the things we begged Google for after it released Call Screen. Today is a big day for us.
Pixel owners, are you seeing the transcript option?
