Huh, better late than never I guess, but this is a bit shocking to see. Google, after all these years, added musical alarms to the Google Clock app this morning. Musical alarms, as in, you can choose a song from Spotify to wake up to.
In a Google Clock update that is rolling out globally this week, you’ll be able to choose from Spotify songs in addition to regular alarm sounds. And this is for free and premium Spotify users too. Crazy, right?
The new experience will look just like the screenshot below, with one tab for “Sounds” and another for “Spotify.”
This new update will be available to those running Android 5.0 “Lollipop” and above.
