Over the past week, as a YouTube user, you probably noticed that skipping forward or backwards in a video doesn’t work like it should. Typically, when you tap ahead or back in a video on the progress bar, it would jump to that spot. Well, that’s been broken.
YouTube says that a fix is coming and that they will share a note when an update with it rolls out. In the mean time, your best bet for zooming ahead or reversing in a video is to grab the red dot and drag it to where you want it. Yep, that still works, just not the simple tapping.
If you're using the YouTube app on Android, we're aware of an issue with tapping on the progress bar to skip forwards/backwards.
Workaround: you can still hold and drag the red dot on the progress bar.
Will share another update once it's fixed! https://t.co/uAFph5jzEa
