Google Lens has always been sort of a pain to launch. It started out in Google Assistant on Pixel phones as a tiny little icon buried in a corner before moving into Google Photos. With Google adding features upon features to Lens, it makes sense that they would give you an easier way to launch it. Today, they’ve pushed a new Google Lens app shortcut to Google Play to do just that.
The Lens app shouldn’t necessarily add features. It’s basically just a quick-launch icon like the one released for Google Assistant some time ago.
If you find yourself using Google Lens frequently, you’ll want to install this.
