Essential is in the process of sending out an update via OTA to users of the Android P beta, something we weren’t quite expecting today. Earlier this week, it was reported that Essential has essentially cancelled any plans for an Essential Phone 2, which was confirmed later by Andy Rubin.
For those who do own this phone, Essential states the update has fixes for cellular connectivity, a fix for Dark Mode, as well as Bluetooth fixes.
If you’re running the Android P beta, you should receive an OTA notification soon. If you’re not running the beta but would like to, go here for instructions on how to get it up and running.
Essential, keep impressing us with these updates.
