If you’ve ever taken an Uber before, you’ll know that shortly after the trip concludes, the app notifies you that it’s time to rate your driver and grants the option to leave a tip. Well, Uber is changing this up a bit, now letting riders rate and tip their driver, as well as send other feedback while a trip is still in progress.
According to Uber, “Your positive feedback will be used to recognize top quality drivers and encourage continued outstanding service through a new program launching in June.”
Now, feedback isn’t always good and Uber knows that. The company goes on to say that they will use customer feedback to improve its tech by analyzing rides with specific issues surrounding things like navigation and pickup spots.
Of course, it’s entirely possible you will have a good ride, so instead of taking time out of day following the trip to rate and tip your driver, just do it as you’re about to be dropped off and be done with it.
This change appears to be rolling out now to the Uber app.
