Xiaomi Adds Google Assistant Support to Several Smart Home Products

On the heels of Google I/O, Xiaomi announced this week that it is adding support for Google Assistant to a few of its smart home products, all three of which will soon be available in the US.

Specifically, Xiaomi is adding Assistant support to the Mi Bedside Lamp, Mi LED Smart Bulb, and Mi Smart Plug. Each of these products sound pretty straightforward, but just in case you need a breakdown, here we go.

The bedside lamp is capable of 16 million color customizations and touch-sensitive panel at the top. With the Mi Home app, owners can use Google Assistant to control the lamp via voice control. For the smart bulbs, they too offer 16 million colors, and with Assistant support, you’ll be turning on and off your lights without ever having to get up off the couch.

Lastly, the Smart Plug with Google Assistant turns your aging tech into new tech, with the ability to turn things on/off all with your voice or through the Mi Home app.

Xiaomi says the bedside lamp will be available in the US this month, followed by the other products.
