Ahead of tomorrow’s #IO2018 kickoff, Google and JBL have announced Link Bar, an Android TV-powered soundbar with a healthy amount of ports on its backside and all of the features you’d expect from a set-top box running Android.

Said to be available this fall, Link Bar features Google Assistant for controlling your smart home, as well as microphones for hands-free control. On the backside, we can see the Link Bar offers 4 HDMI ports, ethernet, as well as a 3.5mm port.

With Android TV onboard, you can download all of your favorite apps from Google Play, including Netflix and YouTube TV. Since it doubles as a soundbar, you also don’t need to worry about casting your music to a specific speaker in your home. With this, just tell Google to start playing music and that’s it.

Because we’re still a ways away from launch, we can’t tell you how good it sounds or how much it’ll cost, but all of those details will come in due time. If Link Bar is present at I/O this week, we’ll be sure to check it out for you.
