Google announced new Google Assistant features for Wear OS today that bring it further in line with Assistant on phones. Things like smarter suggestions, spoken answers, and the ability to perform Actions are all now available to Wear OS watches.
For smart suggestions, the Assistant on your wrist will do its best to offer up additional bits of relevant information as you complete tasks. For example, after you ask for the weather, sliding up on the screen will show you options that could get you forecasts for this weekend, later today, or show the temperature in Celsius, all without having to ask for them.
Additionally, if you ask Assistant for information, you can have your watch speak the answers back to you. You know how you ask your phone or Google Home to tell you about your day? Your watch can do that now too.
Finally, Google is bringing Actions to Wear OS, so that means some of the million or so items listed at this directory can now be done from your wrist. Things like starting your smart over or getting the next train schedule are there on your wrist, as well as your phone.
Wear OS, guys!
