Verizon kicked off a new deal this morning that they have been hyping for days. It’s a 50% off deal on a number of phones (S9, Note 8, iPhone X, Pixel 2, etc.), but the extra bonuses, should you opt for Google’s new phones, sure do sweeten things quite a bit. For a limited time, if you buy a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL, you could save up to 50% off (with trade-in) and receive a free Chromecast, Google Home Mini, and 2 months of YouTube TV. See, solid bonuses!
Verizon’s new Pixel 2, 2 XL deal
Of course, the fine print here is as nuts as you imagined, so let me try and break it down. You have to buy the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL on a device payment plan (up to $949.99) and activate it by May 30. Then, depending on the phone you trade in, you’ll get up to $424.99 back, applied as a credit spread out over 24 months (2-year contract!). As for the bonuses, expect your Google Home Mini and Chromecast within 2-3 weeks (sent to billing address), and a quick sign-up of YouTube TV at tv.youtube.com.
Which phones can you trade-in to get up to 50% off? There are quite a few options, actually, including phones as old as the LG G5 and HTC 10, which will at least get you 35% off. Here is the full list:
