T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8 Joins the Oreo Update Party

t-mobile galaxy note 8 oreo update

Following AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint Galaxy Note 8 units picking up updates to Oreo last week, T-Mobile joined the fun over the weekend. The update sure seems to be live for everyone who owns it, as a number of readers let us know about it.

The T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8’s update is a solid 1.3GB in size and arrives as software version N950USQU3CRC2. It’s Android 8.0, like the others, as well as the March security patch.

Want to know what’s new with Oreo on the Note 8? This changelog from the Galaxy S8’s Oreo update offers a good list of the changes. If reading through that sounds like hell, well, be on the lookout for picture-in-picture with apps like YouTube, notification dots on icons, limits on background tasks to help with battery life, an improved Edge panel and Always On Display, that sort of thing. You can see a list of a few of the changes below.

To grab the update, head into Settings>Software update.

Cheers Jeff, Mark, @DJTopherLee, and everyone else!
