On January 25, Verizon will add a new feature to its Go Unlimited data plan: usage in Mexico and Canada. This addition brings it in line in terms of features with the upper-tier Beyond Unlimited plan, though there are some things to be aware of.
When the Go Unlimited plan picks up Mexico and Canada usage, that means no cost to use talk, text, and data when in Mexico or Canada (as well as unlimited calling from the US to both countries). However, there is a 500MB per day cap for 4G LTE speeds on data, though data will continue to work at 2G speeds thereafter.
Verizon tells us that the change is for both new and existing customers.
