Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Pick-Up December Security Patch

Just when it seemed as if Samsung was fully slipping on keeping its phones up-to-date, they team up with Verizon to push the December security patch to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. I say that not only because of the slow update rollout to their unlocked Galaxy S8 phones, but because their monthly security patches are creeping closer and closer to the end of each month.

According to each phone’s changelog, that is all we’re getting this month too. The Galaxy S7 will see new software version G930VVRU4BQK4, while the Galaxy S7 Edge will update to G935VVRU4BQK4. The 2017-12-01 patch is included.

I’d imagine other Samsung phones, like the Galaxy S8 line and Note 8 will see this update as well.

To check for it, head into Settings>System updates.
