A screenshot from a Galaxy S8 owner part of the beta update details all of the changes that Samsung is looking to ship with Oreo.
As you will see below, the list of changes is big, with a download weight to match. According to this screenshot, the Oreo update will come in around 1.4GB, which is rather hefty for a smartphone.
Inside, Samsung details Samsung Experience 9.0, which will include notification badges, changes to the Edge Screen, the touching and holding of app icons to reveal shortcuts and actions, system performance improvements, Samsung Keyboard changes, plus a whole lot more.
We have zero confirmation from Samsung for when this update will roll out, but considering the beta is live, it’s a safe assumption to expect it somewhat soon.
UPDATE: Samsung has now announced the Oreo and Experience 9.0 update. Details on how to sign-up can be found here.
Now, prepare yourself, because what follows is a very long screenshot, but it goes into detail with everything that is changing.
