The Samsung Internet Browser’s latest beta build to v6.2 not only introduces some fun new features, it also opens up the app to all Android phones running Lollipop+. Instead of being an exclusive to Samsung and Google phones, your LG or HTC or Huawei or whichever phone, can now be a part of Samsung’s Internet world.
Why would you want to be a part of that life? Well, the browser isn’t half bad. It’s pretty fast for one, but it also includes features like a night mode, extension support (ad blockers, y’all), Samsung Cloud sync, experimental feature testing (internet://flags), and a floating shortcut button to get you into new tabs or sharing. For the most part, it’s a fully-featured browser that may be a solid alternative for those looking to get out of Chrome.
To give it a shot, hit up the Google Play link below. If you aren’t seeing it available just yet, give it a day as the full rollout is still ongoing.
