Verizon Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge owners, you should probably jump into Settings>System updates. Why? Because your Android 7.0 Nougat update is here! The update seems to have gone live minutes ago, as a handful of users all pinged us at the exact same time, saying they were prompted to update.
We don’t have many details just yet, but we’ll update this post as we have more (like size, software version, etc.).
As you can see in the screenshot below, this is Android 7.0, plus Samsung is throwing in security updates, a new battery management page, easier multitasking, and photo effects and filter previews.
UPDATE: Verizon has now posted the changelogs for each. It looks like the S6 is getting software version G920VVRS4DQD1, while the S6 Edge will see G925VVRS4DQD1. To see screenshots of some of the changes you can expect, be sure to hit up those source links below.
