Your Android Wear Watch Hasn’t Received 2.0 Because Google Found a Bug

Let’s say you are wearing a Huawei Watch. You’re probably thinking to yourself, “Gosh, am I ever going to receive the Android Wear 2.0 update?” Well, we might finally have an answer for why the update is taking so long, and it’s all because of a bug.

Detailed by Google, a bug was found in final testing for a range of devices (basically anything that’s not a Fossil Q, Casio Outdoor, and Tag Heuer), and because of this bug, your update to Android Wear 2.0 is being delayed. We don’t know exactly what the bug is, but apparently it’s a big deal, so you’ll just have to hang tight while Google fixes it.

Here’s the statement from Google that was provided to Wareable.

We have started rolling out the Android Wear 2.0 update to Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10 and Tag Heuer Connected. For other devices, the update is currently being delayed due to a bug found in final testing. We will push the update to the remaining devices as soon as the issue is resolved.

Well, that sucks.

Owners of the Huawei Watch, Moto 360 (2nd Gen), plus everyone else not running one of the aforementioned devices will just have to hang tight. Does that suck? Yes, incredibly, but what can you do? Once we hear this bug has been resolved, we’ll let you know.
