The Moto Z Play DROID (our review) is the latest in Verizon’s lineup to see an update to Android Nougat. The update originally started rolling out over the weekend to a select group, with Big Red setting today as the date for full rollout. According to at least two of our readers and a bunch of people hanging out at the Z Play subreddit, the update is now live.
When Nougat arrives on your phone, you’ll receive software version NDNS25.137-24-1-2.
The update includes split-screen mode (multi window), quicker app switching (tap that app switcher a couple of times!), customizable quick settings tiles, notifications you can respond directly in, and more.
To check for the update, which should be available immediately, head into Settings>System updates.
UPDATE: Verizon finally posted the changelog, which you can view through the link below. We’ve included some screenshots of the update as well, for those who like visual aids.
